AA Works--Inside and Out
In this section, six AAs tell us how it works, inside and outside
I AM A HAPPY alcoholic. I could never utter those words had I not cried out to God in a moment of total despair, "Please stop me from drinking." I was tired of dying and wanted to live. Where the cry came from--at that moment of hopelessness and helplessness, when I felt unloved, unwanted--I have no idea. From that moment to this, my life has been full of joy, love, peace, and friendship.
