I HAVE NOT found it necessary to drink alcohol since March 15, 1979. But my case was different, you know. So the progression of sobriety in my life did not begin till June 11, 1979, when I stopped using all the substitutes for alcohol that I had slowly adopted over the last ten years of my active alcoholism.
