I am in the penitentiary, and I have started attending AA meetings here. Until last week, it had been about three months since I had been to a meeting, and I was really feeling strung out. I'm an alcoholic, and I need to be with people who understand and care about me. It seems as though, when I finally let go and asked God to help me with the problem of getting to a meeting, the AA meetings here started up again after a lapse of about five months.
