Close Call

Without warning it hit--he wanted a drink

IT WAS A DAY like any other. I had been up about six hours. My wife had gone to the grocery store, and my daughter was working. I was going to watch my grandson until my wife came home. It was a fine Saturday; the sun was shining bright. A John Wayne movie was on the television, and my grandson finally went to sleep, after about two hours of cowboys and Indians.
