A copy of a May 1980 Grapevine story, "Beware of the 'Yets,' " was given to me one week ago, at my first meeting. On reading it, I made a list of yets as well as a list of alreadys. Like C. K., I had not yet been stopped for DWI. I had not yet lost a job. Along with the not-yets were a lot of things I should have done that hadn't been done because I was relaxing until I could cop out and go to sleep, or was "loosening up" (making an idiot of myself).
