ACCORDING TO M. M. of Illinois, a man phoned the police station and reported drunkenly that he had a skunk in his basement. The officer on duty said, "Tell you what--make a trail of bread crumbs from the basement to your backyard. Wait awhile, then sneak out, and if the skunk is in the yard, throw rocks at it and chase it away."
