Four of us were trading small talk after my second AA meeting here in Riyadh when a fellow from St. Louis asked if I might have met an acquaintance of his from my "hometown," the Chicago suburbs. He could only remember the first name. I know a few people by that name, but there must be a thousand I don't. So I guessed--and I was right!
