ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS figured among twenty recipients of The President's Volunteer Action Awards, presented in Washington, D.C., on April 13, 1983. Class A (nonalcoholic) trustee William E. Flynn, MD, on behalf of the Fellowship as a whole, accepted the citation and a silver medallion.
