If Only . . .

BEFORE I CAME to AA, I dreamed of a loving husband and children. Two childless, unhappy marriages and many heartbreaks later, I found myself trying to justify my drinking by pointing to my sad, lonely life. "If only I had a family to fulfill my life, I wouldn't need to drink."
