IN BOTH CASES, the characters sound like alcoholics. S. C. of Pennsylvania defines a social drinker as a guy who mows his lawn in ninety-degree weather, then goes into the kitchen and sees two cans of beverages on the table, one soda and the other beer. He feels them to see which is the colder.
