In the early days, when I was spinning my wheels carrying bodies, arguing that AA does work, and taking all the credit I could get, I was trying to sell our program. On the bright side, it kept me sober, and it taught me the difference between activity and action. To me, activity is when I am trying to fix others, and action is when I am trying to fix myself through our Twelve Steps.
