'Wave of the future'?

During the past couple of years, I have observed subgroups developing within the AA community, formed of members with special needs who wanted support in achieving important goals in addition to staying off the sauce. Many of these subgroups are made up of members who have quit smoking. They are often troubled when attending the typical, excessively smoky meeting. The newly quit nonsmoker finds he had better stay in smoke-free places if he wants to stay quit. Furthermore, many of those people have serious health problems, and they have a real need to avoid smoke inhalation.
