I'm taking issue with E. E. of Tulsa, who wrote "Which Came First, the Drink or the Disease?" She wonders how many AA members believe alcoholism is no fault of their own. Probably a lot! It seems about fifty percent of the people in AA nowadays should go to a psychiatrist for their disease. Too bad she didn't listen to more of that conference speaker's remarks. I would love to have heard him. He and I got to AA the same way--I drank myself right into chronic alcoholism.
