HE WAS AS RELIEVED as the bartender in a tale from A. C. of Hawaii. The barkeep was famous for the potency of the martinis he served, three or four of which gave the average drinker a severe case of the whirlies. One day, he whispered to a regular patron, "I'm worried about that guy at the end of the bar. He's had nine of my martinis and hasn't batted an eye."
