Once Over Lightly

SHE MISUNDERSTOOD the AA program as much as an old lady L. S. of Wisconsin heard about. The aged woman, nervous and shaky, was attending her first meeting. At the end of it, she went to a young female member and whispered, "I wonder if you can help me. In the Twelfth Step, it says, 'practice these principles in all our affairs.' How am I going to do that? I haven't had an affair since I was young and foolish."
