Everything You've Always Wanted to Know About Service But Were Afraid to Ask

SHORTLY AFTER joining AA, I discovered what seemed to be a secret organization within our Fellowship. Every once in a while, a group of men and women would appear at the local club, go into one of the rooms, close the door, and have a special meeting. When I finally asked someone, I was told, "That's general service." I immediately assumed that they were a branch of the government somehow connected to AA.
