Trust Is Faith in Action

MY EXPERIENCE in believing has been a frustrating one at times. My sincere declaration of belief in God went hand in hand with deep dread, unreasoning foreboding, and a sense of abandonment. For a good number of years, I would say, if I was asked, "I believe." But my moods and attitudes belied that statement. I mistakenly thought that if I said it long enough and loud enough, everything would be all right. I had no idea why I felt empty.
