Recently, I made a trip to Grand Rapids, Michigan, a city I had never visited before. After inquiring at a gas station, I found a nice hotel and checked in. The next morning I called the Grand Rapids AA office and asked the pleasant-sounding lady on the phone if there were any meetings that day. She told me there was a noon meeting at a hotel, gave me its address, and asked if I thought I might be able to find it. I told her yes--because I was staying there!
