Sobriety Is an Inside Job

In this section, an inside AA and his outside sponsor share the rewards of their correspondence

BEING INCARCERATED for the past eighteen months in the Texas Department of Corrections has given me the sober opportunity to realize, examine, and begin to deal with some of my many character defects. I am an alcoholic. With the help of the AA program and a renewed faith in my Higher Power, I have experienced some amazing results and changes in my life. This required several action steps on my part. Fear had previously kept me from this.
