Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery

THERE WAS a difference of opinion, and the same occurred in an anecdote from P. L. of Oregon. This one concerned an AA member who was trying to convince a neighbor's wife that her drunkard husband should be coaxed into joining Alcoholics Anonymous. No matter what he said, she answered with the same words: "You just don't understand."
