When the thought of a drink takes us unawares we have a powerful protection
I BOARDED THE plane with eagerness and confidence. After a short flight, I would arrive in a city where, in addition to attending a conference, I was going to be seeing a couple of old college friends now living there. College was a long time ago, but Christmas cards and an occasional phone call had kept us up-to-date on one another's lives and activities.
