The Jefferson Street Gang

THIS IS the story of a meeting that I had the good fortune to be part of, and I write about it as I saw it, from an observer's point of view. After having been placed on the archives committee, I began to look into the origin of AA in this city. Through many telephone calls, numerous conversations, and extensive research in the city directory, I located five members of the old Jefferson Street Group. They supplied the names of eighteen more, who were still alive and well, and we planned a lunchtime get-together.
