In response to the lady who wrote "I Needed a Psychiatrist" (November Grapevine): I applaud you. I, too, after a length of sobriety, some deep soul-searching, and a modicum of self-honesty, found that I needed professional help as well as my AA program. I had heard from the beginning that "some are sicker than others." Well, I guess I was one of those sicker. I have read that Bill W., too, found it necessary to see a psychiatrist after four years of sobriety. I bow to your courage and willingness.
