While I was waiting at the supermarket checkout counter, two men, obviously dressed for a fishing trip, got in line behind me. Each man struggled to carry two cases of beer. They must have noticed my surprised glance at all that beer--and just the two of them--for with an embarrassed laugh, the first man said to me, "Uh, is this the alcoholics' line?"
