Twice-blessed Alcoholic

I GREW UP in an alcoholic home, learning firsthand the traits of the alcoholic and those of the nonalcoholic. The former--denying problems, blaming others for troubles, thinking negatively, rationalizing, and justifying--seemed perfectly normal to me. So did the latter--covering up, controlling, carrying all the guilt for the alcoholic's behavior.
