When Your House of Cards Collapses

. . . pick up the tools of the program

UPON COMING to the AA program, I accepted my powerlessness over alcohol. For some years, however, I continued to harbor the delusion that I could control other areas of my life. Recently, this bit of insanity, too, was smashed as reality brought me face-to-face with my limitations. The events of just one week convinced me that I will never control my own life--at least as long as it is filled with people, cars that can break down, and animals.
