Once Over Lightly

WE ALL MAKE mistakes, including the chap in this tale. Returning from a trip, he told a friend, "I had a bad time of it in New York City. I ran out of drinking money, so I tried to sell the Brooklyn Bridge to some sucker. Turned out that the first guy I tried it on owned the damn thing, and I had to give him my overcoat to keep him from calling the cops."
