Not so tough
What a mushball I've become in my sobriety. I have yet to read a Grapevine and not have it bring tears of joy, laughter, or gratitude to my eyes. What a switch from the tough street girl who thought she could handle all things and only growled at people and hoped they'd keep their distances. I never needed them. I thought fear and respect were love.
