SPEAKING OF RUNNING: Certain old riverboats could run in very shallow water--some claimed even on a heavy dew. One night, there was a drunken party on such a boat, and one of the revelers awoke in the morning with a parched throat. "Someone bring me a drink of water," he rasped.
