Sense and nonsense on the road recovery

ANOTHER INCIDENT regarding lapse of mind deals with a ranch hand who forgot the danger and walked around the back end of a mule. He got kicked in the head and rendered unconscious. He was being carried back to the bunk-house on a stretcher when he came to. He gazed up at the sky, felt the swaying of the stretcher, and muttered to himself, "By golly, I haven't hit the ground yet!"
