Holding Fast to Our Principles

IN MY SERVICE experience, the challenge of back to basics has never been the problem. The problem has been one of maintaining the basics--the principles of AA that pervade our Twelve Steps, Twelve Traditions, and Twelve Concepts for World Service. Without Recovery through the Steps, there will be no Unity; without Unity through the Traditions, there will be no Service; and without Service following our Concepts, there will be no message to carry to the alcoholic who still suffers.
