I've been on this bus for 12 hours, bound for Rio de Janeiro to carry the message of AA to another priest alcoholic. Brazil, with 130 million people and maybe 10 million alcoholics, is the fourth country in the world in number of AA groups: U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. But Brazil still has only a handful of decent rehabs to prepare alcoholics for AA, alcoholics who are so sick and blinded by denial and fear (as I was) that they will not accept AA without special help.
