SPEAKING OF CONFUSION: A dipso who suffered from blackouts used to hide money, in his sober moments, between the pages of his copy of Dante's Inferno. As he explained to a fellow drinker, "When I'm broke, I say to myself, 'Where in hell did I hide some money?' And right away I know where to look."
