Once Over Lightly
Sense and nonsense on the road to recovery
A STORY from D. W. of Missouri tells about two drunken motorcyclists who went into a roadside diner, sat alongside a farmer, and began heckling him. They bumped his arm when he was lifting his coffee cup, swiped pieces of his toast, and annoyed him in other ways. The farmer didn't say a word--just finished his meal and left. The tipsy cyclists laughed, and one remarked to the waitress, "He isn't much of a man, is he?"
