Dear Anonymous, Belfast: I just read your story of the old man and the girl in the January Grapevine. It is hard--no, it's impossible--to put on paper how your story touched me. It's impossible because you captured something that transcends words, that has to be experienced and felt to be understood, that my words can never adequately convey. But your words did convey it--the spirituality of people, an eternal thread of love expressed in their lives (and yours), the magic of AA.
