In my meditation this morning, looking back over my past sixteen months of sobriety, I saw clearly that we have one ultimate authority, which is a loving God who expresses himself in our own conscience, and that God responds to us in the same degree as our own thinking. If I have a positive attitude, one of love and kindness, he responds to me with love and care in return. If I have a negative attitude, such as hate, anger, or resentment, I have allowed myself to be blocked from God's protection.
