Reading the moving "Pilgrims to the Castle" (December Grapevine) reminded me of my own international "coincidence" of several years ago. I had been sober little over a year and had driven with my Scandinavian ex-fiance from Norway to Sicily. He was drinking quite heavily during the trip, and we discovered rapidly that my sobriety and his drinking didn't mix. During the weeks we were on the island, I had attempted several times to contact AAs there, but with no success.
