If you were as sick, lonely, and lost as I was before I found AA, you may have cried out as I did in utter despair, "Oh, God, oh, God." I cannot remember that I actually prayed for help, but help came! It was years before I understood, even while I thought God had forsaken me, that someone, somewhere had prayed for me.
