Tapestry of Change

A short time ago I attended an AA meeting, and again I heard the plaintive cry that "AA is changing; AA isn't what it used to be." I asked myself, "Is AA changing?" and I found I had to say, "I don't know." You see I didn't come to AA in the thirties or forties when it was just beginning and establishing itself as a viable and vital way to recovery from alcoholism. And I wasn't there in the fifties, sixties, and seventies when AA was proving on a daily basis that it worked; that it really worked!
