In regard to the September 1985 issue of the Grapevine and the story "Shoemaker, Stick to Thy Last!" by Anonymous, Denver, Colorado: It must be wonderful that in the Denver area none of the AA groups are in need, or experiencing any hard times, because if they were, as is sometimes the case here in my area, I couldn't very well go flying off on some ego trip trying to save all the other recovery programs that pop up. As I see it, my responsibility is to myself and to staying sober first, and then to my home AA group. That is just about enough responsibility for me to handle, for today.
