Blacks in AA

C. H., thanks for writing (August 1985 Grapevine). I've been concerned about our black members who so often are just passing through. The idea that we are unique or different is a rationalization for many dropouts. I was different also, but stayed around long enough to find out that AA could and does work for me. Now being different is part of the fabric that keeps AA vital, and me growing. And I'm not so different after all.
