How a 'knot' helped
It was June 1980, and I was at the end of my rope. I had refused my family at an intervention six months earlier, and my life wasn't worth living. I had the equipment with me to do it, and I had been on a week-long drunk to get the courage. Only at the last moment did God give me the clearness of mind to see what was happening, and I whispered the simple prayer, "God help me."
