The Boomerang Interview

The first AA meeting I ever attended was as part of the alcohol and drug training for my job. At the time, I was well into my own disease and even knew that I had a problem with alcohol, but I truly believed that if only I tried harder, I would be able to control my drinking and wouldn't keep getting drunk. So I went to that first AA meeting after putting on my responsible "professional hat," and remembered not a word of what I heard. But now I could tell people with alcohol problems not to drink and to go to AA because AA worked better than anything else.
