Just Another Grape on the Vine

Sick, sober, and sorry, I attended my first AA meeting, going all alone, in the 1950s. I was at least fifteen years younger than anyone else present, and did not identify with anything I heard. I went home disappointed and depressed even though I was made to feel quite welcome. I simply "wasn't that bad."
