Recently I was given the opportunity to participate in a panel on the topic of substance abuse and the disabled. The discussion was to take place on a closed-circuit radio station for the visually impaired, on a talk show that encouraged call-in questions from the audience. The other participants were to be the talk show host, a professional counselor, and a current participant in a halfway house program.
