Ageless Anonymity

"If it weren't for my AA friends, I don't know, what I'd do," Betty said, as we sat in a large airy room, waiting for a Saturday afternoon meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous to begin. (None of the names used are the real ones.) She was visiting our group, where she had attended meetings for many years prior to moving out-of-state. Now she was planning to move back to our area. She was looking forward to getting reacquainted with her old friends and meeting some new ones.
