I was so happy to see the article "Three Plus Eleven Equals Twelve," by P. O. of Euclid, Ohio, in the April 1986 issue. It counteracts some of those dangerous sayings we hear in AA, such as "Everything happens the way it's supposed to," and "Nothing happens by mistake." If followed blindly, these sayings would take away our newly won free will, and also would deprive us of any chance of learning how to take responsibility for our own actions.
