Those are not the words of an alcoholic. They were spoken by nonalcoholic Gordon Patrick, currently chairperson of AA's General Service Board, who was "attracted" to the Fellowship by a member who spoke at a Kiwanis Club lunch. "He was telling my brother's story," Gordon recalls. "I talked with him after the meeting, and asked him what I could do about the havoc my brother was causing in the family."
