The Power of Expectancy

God can only do for us what he can do through us. It is up to us to set up the most favorable conditions. The recovery program of AA, we might say, is a way of doing that. An important principle in setting up this favorable condition is that of expectancy. God cannot bring forth a right answer through us when we are blocking the way by expecting the worst. The Bible alludes to this in the Book of Job: "That which I have greatly feared has come upon me."
