How it was

These days we hear so much talk around the AA Fellowship about gays, lesbians, AIDS, etc., that the furor over the addicts has taken a back seat. I walked into my first AA meeting in the summer of 1956, and at that time they were getting into fist fights over whether or not to admit blacks into our meetings.
